At CMPT we treat all ages, injuries, and conditions with the same goal in mind: Get you out of pain and unlock your full potential. We want you to be able to continue doing the things you love without pain or limitation. Your body is your most valuable asset. You rely on it to accomplish daily tasks and do the things you love. You deserve the best available physical therapy.

At CMPT it is all about YOU!

We recognize that your body and goals are unique. CMPT does not use standardized treatment plans, we do not double book, and our time is your time. Additionally, we make each visit a valuable learning experience so you can easily incorporate corrective movements into your daily life. We place the power in your hands. The majority of our patients leave each treatment session with detailed written and video exercise instructions (via a HIPAA approved portal). This reduces your number of visits, which saves your valuable time and money.

CMPT is driven to provide a unique PT experience

We take pride in providing an experience unlike that of “traditional” physical therapy. We offer the most comprehensive head-to-toe rehabilitation programs. Proper movement patterns form the cornerstone of neuromuscular health and wellness; we help to ensure your body works in the integrated manner it should.

We treat your injury or condition, but unlike other facilities, we then take your treatment further and investigate the “why” behind your injury. Why do you constantly break down on one side, but not the other? Why does your injury keep recurring? We will perform a head-to-toe evaluation, develop a hypothesis, and create a treatment plan that will set you up for success. We utilize a variety of techniques including Graston, which is a form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization used for the evaluation and treatment of dysfunctional soft tissue.

How do I set-up a physical therapy appointment?

Contact our office at 508-852-3700. To schedule an initial evaluation please have your health insurance card available (if utilizing your insurance benefits).

Do you offer early morning and/or evening appointments?

Yes! We have appointment from 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM on weekdays. When you call to set-up your appointment please indicate your scheduling preferences. This will ensure that you are placed with a therapist who can best accommodate your schedule for the duration of your treatment.

What can I expect at my physical therapy initial evaluation?

Your initial evaluation will last 60-minutes and is typically conducted in a private treatment room. Your physical therapist will ask for information regarding your current injury and past injuries. We will then complete a thorough movement assessment. Based on our findings, and your goals, we will design an individualized treatment plan of care and get you started on the road to recovery.

What should I bring to my initial evaluation?

- Comfortable clothes and athletic shoes (and any inserts / orthotics if applicable) - Photo ID, Health Insurance Card, & Co-Payment (if applicable) - Doctor's prescription for physical therapy - Insurance referral (if needed per your insurance policy) - please call your primary care physician to have an insurance referral faxed to our facility. - List of current medications (including name and dose) - Patient intake form can be completed prior to your appointment (or come 15 minutes early to your appointment)

What can I expect at PT treatment sessions?

Individualized attention does not stop at your initial evaluation. At CMPT we do not believe in double booking, nor do we treat multiple patients simultaneously. Treatment sessions will last 30-60 minutes. This enables us to reduce your visits, which saves you time and money! We value placing the tools in your hands to get better and stay better. You will leave each PT session with an updated home exercise program. We understand you live a busy life, so we will work to select 3-5 exercises that will be most effective for you. Your PT will write and/or video the instructions for you to take home.

How frequently will I come to PT and how long will I need physical therapy?

We are dedicated to returning our patients to optimal health as quickly as possible. Duration and frequency of treatment depends on the individual. We see some patients more than once a week, while others are seen once every 3 weeks. Patients are generally back to full activity level and ready for discharge from PT after less than 8 visits (this number is higher for post-operative cases).

Do any of the CMPT physical therapists specialize in the treatment of specific body parts or conditions?

No. All of our clinicians are movement specialists who treat the body holistically and practice with the highest standard of care.

Will I see multiple physical therapists during my treatment at CMPT?

No. At CMPT you will not see more than 2 clinicians. We work in teams of 1 physical therapist and 1 physical therapist assistant. We collaborate extensively to create the best treatment plans. This model allows you to receive the highest quality of care.

What if I want to come to CMPT, but I live over 45 minutes away?

We treat many patients who drive a distance to receive care at our facility. We will make accommodations to ensure you leave with enough tools to accomplish your goals with less supervision. We are also happy to collaborate with a clinician closer to your home.

What if I have already had PT for this injury at another clinic, but it still is not better?

Due to our non-traditional physical therapy approach we frequently offer second and third opinions. We are committed to finding the root cause of your injury. Our facility has gained popularity among patients who have “failed” PT at other facilities. Please inform our office if you have had PT at another facility in the past year, as some insurance providers will require additional authorization.
