CMPT offers the highest quality group fitness classes & personal training packages in Central Massachusetts!

Having physical therapists oversee all of our fitness services allows us to offer the highest standard of training in the industry. We make sure you are doing what is needed to meet your goals while staying injury free! Executing every exercise with optimal technique and posture is the focus of every session regardless of the ultimate goal. Are you looking to build strength, lose weight, improve your posture, gain speed, build muscle mass, improve balance, decrease risk of cardiovascular disease? If you answered "yes" to any of these objectives then we are here to help. Additionally, our fitness programs make for a seamless transition from rehabilitation to training.

Group Fitness Classes

A fun, energetic, 60‐minute workout designed to meet the needs of each client. Our fitness team guides clients through individualized, safe programs aimed at weight loss, restoring proper movement patterns, and overall health and well-being. Research indicates that restoring proper movement patterns will prevent injury, promote durability, improve performance, and bring out your full potential.

Did you know that strength decreases by 1% every year after the age of 30, and 2% after age 50? Studies show that people over the age of 55 can still gain muscle, strength, and endurance.


CMPT offers a 60-minute Healthy Aging Group Exercise Class based on the latest research! This class is led by Matt McLeod, CSCS under the direction of Jackie Shakar, DPT, MSPT, OCS, CMT.

Who is this group fitness class meant for?

The class is appropriate for anyone who wants to maintain their maximal level of functional independence as they age. This class helps to improve or maintain strength, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness in order to decrease risk of falls and improve daily function. This class is an appropriate transition from current PT into a closely supervised exercise class or for individuals with medical clearance.


Will it be too easy or too hard for me?

The classes are small in size. Each participant receives individual attention throughout the hour-long class. If you are a patient at the clinic, your PT will be an integral part of your transition into our group class. Each participant has different goals. The class is easily adjusted to the level of each patient.

Personal Training & Semi-Private Training

You create the goal. We design the program to achieve it!  Our personal training programs are tailored to YOU. Do you want to work with us daily, once per week, twice per week? Do you want to meet monthly to set-up a program you can complete on your own? In order to meet your busy schedule we have training sessions available from 6:30 am - 7:30 pm.

Work one-on-one or in small groups with a CMPT fitness professional who understand the science of exercise and weight loss. Our fitness team will serve as your personal coach, educator, positive role model, and primary source of motivation!


CMPT is a rehabilitation facility, so your safety and wellness are our top priorities! Your trainer will assure that your posture, technique, and breathing are correct throughout the workout. Additionally, our fitness team is in constant collaboration with our rehabilitation team!

Personal Training Rates

30 minutes: $40     |      60 minutes: $60

Semi Private Training Rates

60 minutes: $90 total for up to 3 people
