“Not Your Average Physical Therapy Practice”:
At Central Mass Physical Therapy we believe each patient is unique and has unique needs.  All physical therapists have or still teach at the collegiate level and all clinicians are current with research in the field so that we can provide the most optimal treatment for your ailment.  We take pride in each patients care, believing that quality individualized care is the ONLY way to practice.  We guarantee your experience in physical therapy will be different than in the past. 

Providing Evidence Based Care:
Central Mass Physical Therapy provides evidence based, individualized care.  You will get what your body needs to get better and stay better.  A thorough functional examination to determine cause and effect related to your injury is essential to guide your care.  An individualized treatment plan is derived from your evaluation, we do not provide ‘cookie cutter’ treatments.  Each treatment should have a purpose and evidence to support that purpose.  Consider this- it is a sad fact that one of the most commonly performed services in PT is Ultrasound.  When you research Ultrasound’s therapeutic benefit, it is interesting to find that it has NO evidence to support its efficacy in the treatment of pain and inflammation.  Ask your therapist why they are doing it, and ask for evidence to show its effectiveness.  At Central Mass PT, all of our treatments are based on empirical evidence.  We do therapy different, we do it the right way.  In our view, it’s the ONLY way. 

Our time is your time…
We aim to make each visit a valuable experience where you learn and take home thing to tangibly practice and incorporate into your day.  For this reason, we do not believe in double booking nor do we treat multiple patients simultaneously.  Treatments are typically performed in a private treatment room where you get one-on-one attention.  Additionally, evaluations are sixty minutes in duration and thirty minutes are allotted for each treatment thereafter to allow maximum time spent with out patients.  By doing so we are able to keep visits down, saving patient’s time and money.  Most other outpatient offices will tell you treatments are forty-five minutes long, but in reality therapists only spend twenty minutes, or less, of one-on-one time with their patients.  To further worsen continuity- these other offices often have patients see three or more therapists through their course of care.  Central Mass PT will limit your care to one or two therapists as we are driven to give you the best value and highest quality rehabilitation you've experienced.

Nearly all of the employees at Central Mass Physical Therapy are themselves actively competitive in sport.  The importance of returning you to your sport or work or life expeditiously without pain or limitation is something we understand very well.  We practice what we preach, and preach what we practice.  The care we provide is the care that we ourselves would seek.
